Inspired by the birth of blockchain in 2009, the Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO) system was created as a revolutionary system for financial services and hailed as an “ultimate combination of capitalism and progressivism”.

In this course, participants will gain an understanding of DAO as well as its applications. They will also learn about the traits of a DAO, the usage of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), how they are inherently governed, and the future of this technology.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to fully comprehend the concept of DAO system through an interactive approach as well as develop a creative mentality about the usage of DAO in our financial ecosystem.

Our principal instructor for this course is: 

Yong Sheng Le is formerly the Deputy Director of the FinTech & Innovation group at Monetary Authority of Singapore, where he’s responsible for identifying and evaluating new FinTechs, technologies, as well as working with universities and partners that could add significant value to the local FinTech ecosystem.


He also leads the Financial Sector Technology and Innovation Grant Scheme (FSTI 2.0), and actively participates in the acceleration of the growth of the local FinTech ecosystem, including the digital asset and Web 3.0 sector. Sheng Le also serves as a mentor at Protégé Ventures.


A former startup founder turned venture capitalist turned government officer, Sheng Le has unique insights and knowledge in the entrepreneur and innovation space, serving as an inspiration to students and start-up founders alike. He possesses a highly reputable track record in the start-up space. From incorporation to exit via acquisition in just 2.5 years, Sheng Le managed to achieve a 300x return on capital on his start-up, Rentafi. During his stint as a venture capital, he invested in 6 companies within 2 years and managed to triple the mark-to-market value of two start-ups.
